She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Powell and Mary Powell; and her sister Murry Rust. She is survived by: her children, Christopher John Simpson (Sandra) of Sylvan Lake, Shanna Lee Simpson of Brooks, Murray Simpson (Linda) of Brooks and Sherraine Crapo (Kerry) of Brooks; her grandchildren, Jessica, Julianne, Kole, Layne, Hunter and Riley; her brother John Powell (Irene); and her brother-in-law Richard Rust. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and extended family.
