He is survived by: his wife Katie Braat; his children, David Braat of Calgary, Monica Braat of Medicine Hat, Frank Braat (Allison) of Winnipeg and Mike Braat of Bow Island; his grandchildren, Mikey, Makaya and Joshua; his siblings, Fritz Braat (Lisa) and Ann Koot (Hank); and his sisters-in-law, Mildred Braat and Shirley Braat. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
