He was predeceased by: his wife Erna Britton; his parents, Thomas Britton and Annie Britton; and his siblings, Norman Britton (Ora), Harry Britton (Rose), John Britton (Amy), Martin Britton, Cyril Britton, George Britton, Ronald Britton, Mary Britton, Dorothy Dahlseide (John) and Muril Turchyn (Amil).

He is survived by: his sister Gladys Dahlseide; and his sisters-in-law, Louise Britton, Phyllis Britton and Ruth Britton. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
