He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Wilson and Doris Wilson; and his brother-in-law John Stadnyk. He is survived by: his wife Diane Wilson of Bonnyville, AB; his stepson Murray Grasdal of Dawson Creek, BC; his stepgrandson Joshua Grasdal of Grande Prairie, AB; and his siblings, Eian Wilson (Dorothy) of Ardmore, AB, Joyce Wilson of Edmonton, AB and Iris Scherger (Clem) of Bonnyville, AB. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
