He was predeceased by: his parents, Fredrick Stone and Susie Stone; his brothers, Henley and Esau Stone; and his parents-in-law, Alice and Robert Baker.

He is survived by: his wife Alice "Joy" Stone; his children, Bobbi-Jean Coates (Llewellyn) of Bonnyville, AB, Gordon Stone (Stacey) of Bonnyville, AB and Aliceson Magistad (Jeremy) of Bonnyville, AB; his grandchildren, Morgan, Hailey, Jacob, Skyler, Rylee, Rhea and Baby Magistad; his siblings, David Stone (Gertie) of Victoria, NL, Nathan Stone (Unetha) of Bryant's Cove, NL, Phoebe Durnford (Phillip) of Carbonear, NL, Daphne Lynch (Graham) and Brenda Dawe (Rodney) of Fort St; his sisters-in-law, Rosalind Stone of Bryant's Cove, NL and Joyce Stone; and also, Doris Krymuza (Don) of Hamilton, ON, Mona Mehrer (Larry) of Dallas, S. A., Goldie Flight (Ronnie) of Victoria, NL and Robin Baker (Michael Oliver) of Carbonear, NL. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial tributes in memory of Gordon may be sent to the "Gordon Fund" to assist Joy with expenses.
