He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ference and Sophie Ference; his great grandchild Grayson; his sister-in-law Linda Ference; and his nephew Larry Ference.
He is survived by: his children, George Jr. of Red Deer, Kelly Ference (Donna) of St. Albert, Kevin Ference (Stacey) of St. Paul, Melanie Stelmaschuk (Jason) of Blackfoot and Amanda Kostrub (Bernie Paradis) of St. Paul; his grandchildren, Matthew (Brittany), Amber (Jason), Brittney (Brendan), Kiernan, Aidan, Kayla, Emma, Ty, Ariana and Savana; his great grandchildren, Lindsey and Kalei; and his siblings, Walter Ference (Connie), Shirley Gozjolko (Stanley) and Janet Ramsum (Wade). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
