He was predeceased by: his sister-in-law Heather Cook; his parents, Elsie Thompson and John Thompson; and his father-in-law Gord Cook. He is survived by: his children, Kara Ricker (Ty), Janie Hunter (Mark), Arnon Thompson (Tiffany), Roanne Stober (Jordan), Braden Thompson (Lindsy) and Delton Thompson (Tisha); his grandchildren, Jaren, Dayton, Kaylee Ricker, Denver, Benson, Theo, Owen Hunter, Lennon, Ellis Thompson, Dallas, Elsie Stober, Mary, Della Thompson, Rehn, Hux and Locky Thompson; his siblings, Les Thompson (Bonnie), Brenda Carter (Larry), Marilyn Mathison (Dean) and Louise Sargeant (Calvin); his mother-in-law Doreen James; and his brothers-in-law, Dennis Cook (Anne) and Dan Cook.
A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bonnyville & District Centennial Centre - Fieldhouse (4313 50 Ave, Bonnyville, AB T9N0B4).
