He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandson Dreyson Chekosis; his father Albert Kahpeepatow; his siblings, Bernadine Wahpistikwan, Larry Wahpistikwan (MJ), Gary Wahpistikwan, Valerie Wahpistikwan, Dale Wahpistikwan, Serena Wahpistikwan and Lenny Kahpeepatow (Roxanne Sandfly); his uncle Michael Green; his aunts, Violet Wahpistikwan and Mary Kahpeepatow; his mother Cecilia Wahpistikwan; his sisters, Albertine Wahpistikwan, Jo-Anne Wahpistikwan and Priscilla Wahpistikwan; his uncles, John Angus, Johnny Angus, Peter Kahpeepatow and Vernon Kahpeepatow; his niece Zaydie Ochuschayoo; and his brother Billy Wahpistikwan. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, extended family.
A wake was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Chief Napew Memorial School (Big Island Lake Cree Nation, Pierceland, SK S0M2K0). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM and at 11:00 AM at the same location.
