He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Ruth; his daughter Kimberly Ruth; his siblings, Julia Ruth and Ellis Ruth; and his parents, Archibald Ruth and Eliza Ruth.

He is survived by: his granddaughters, Chantelle Galinski (Tristin) and Sarah Crocker (Eric Gates); his great grandchildren, Ethan, Sophia, Mia and Amelia; and his brothers, Stan Ruth (Linda), Edward Ruth (Donna) and Hector Ruth (Irene).
