He was predeceased by: his wife Lucienne Croteau; his parents, Omer Croteau and Anne Marie Croteau; his brothers, Raymond Croteau (Thérèse), Paul Croteau and Lucien Croteau (Thérèse); and his brother-in-law Patrick Keiran.

He is survived by: his children, Pierre Croteau (Sherrie) of Bonnyville, Rose Croteau of Dieppe, NB and Hélène DeBoer (John) of Two Hills, AB; his grandchildren, Nicole (Kenneth), Breanne, Melanie, Brandon (Kira), Sydney and Jordan; and his siblings, Marcel Croteau, Thérèse Cournoyer (Daniel) and Jo-Anne Keiran.
