With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wayne McDonald (Blairmore, Alberta), who passed away on September 29, 2023 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lexie Adelle McDonald and John Leo "Jack" McDonald; and his brothers, Harold Smith, Clem Smith and William Frank McDonald.
He is survived by: his children, David McDonald of Blairmore, AB, Joshua McDonald of Lethbridge, AB, Crystal Shier (James) of Stony Plain, AB and Nicole Butler of Pincher Creek, AB; his grandchildren, Jason Shier, Aaron Shier, Mary Butler, James Butler and Jennicka Krug; and his siblings, Lynn Tyers (Bruce) of Airdrie, AB and Ray Smith (Joyce) of Bellevue, AB. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, extended family; and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will be gratefully accepted by the Crowsnest Pass Health Foundation "Mental Wellness" (PO Box 455 Blairmore, AB T0K 0E0), or the Alberta Cancer Society (1331 - 29 Street NW Calgary, AB T2N 4N2).
