She was predeceased by: her husband Clifford Brooks; her parents, Joseph Johnston and Hazel Johnston; her children, Robert Brooks and Rhonda Tourand; and her sister-in-law Angela Johnston.

She is survived by: her son Calvin Brooks of Blackfoot; her children-in-law, Brenda Brooks of Lloydminster and Paul Tourand of Lloydminster; her grandchildren, Ryan Brooks, Randy Brooks, Ashley Brooks, Brandy Clement, Aaron Clement, Brendon Tourand and Braydon Tourand; her great grandchildren, Rilynn, Jaelynn, Addison and Jayden; and her brothers, Allan Johnston (Margaret) of Kitscoty and Fred Johnston of Viking. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
