He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Buettner and Paul Buettner; and his siblings, Ronnie and Carol. He is survived by: his former wife Marilyn Davies; his wife Karen Buettner; his children, Jared (Melanie) of Lynn Valley, Red Deer, Jocelyn Thate of Red Deer, Tyson Buettner of Red Deer and Chelsea McKay (James) of Sylvan Lake; his grandchildren, Korbin, Kohen, Kinsley Buettner and Ryker Thate; and his sister Elaine Salm (Ralph) of Red Deer. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
