Cathy Plantinga Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cathy Plantinga (Blackfalds, Alberta), who passed away on February 6, 2025 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Cathy Plantinga to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Plantinga; and her siblings, Jenny Talsma and Sam Salomons. She is survived by: her children, Marlene Hutscal (Craig), Sandra Hemeyer (Kevin), Karen Melvin (Stuart), Beverly Lipon (Alan) and Allen Plantinga (Melanie); her grandchildren, Luke Hutscal (Lisa), Mary Townsend (Ronald), Johanna Plantinga, Ian Melvin, Katherine Melvin, Zoe Lipon, Maya Lipon, Spencer Plantinga (Jenna) and Andrew Plantinga; her great grandchildren, Lyla, Phoebe and Andi; and her siblings, Willie Reitema, Harry Salomons (Ruth) and Herman Salomons (Leida). She is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Viewing was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Woody Nook Christian Reformed Church (40104 Range Rd 281, Blackfalds, AB T0M0J0). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
