He was predeceased by: his parents, Eusebius and Catharina; and his siblings, Nico, Henk, Nick, Bart and Julie.

He is survived by: his wife Johanne; his children, James (Lorianne Langley), Colleen (Pierre Roy), Lawrence (Colette) and Carla Neumeier (Scot); his stepdaughter Maureen Sask (Ken); his grandchildren, Benjamin, Owen, Bailey, Ethan, Abigayle, Chance, Ashley, Hannah and Blake; and his siblings, Sebus Luiken (Jean), Anna Marie Hunik, Faye Smith and Ann Walisser (Alphonse). He is also survived by many relatives from a large extended family.

Memorial donations can be made in the name of Koos Luiken to Parkinsons Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society.
