She was predeceased by: her parents, Mike Marko and Annie Marko; and her siblings, Angie, Ethel and Peter.

She is survived by: her children, Rodney Koetke (Crystal) of Bentley, Susan Steil (Ernie) of Camrose and Charles Koetke of Coquitlam; her grandchildren, Jessica Sellin (Aaron), Dale Steil (Candace), Angie Koetke and Randy Koetke; her great grandchildren, Payton, Broderick and Malina; her close friend Tony; and her siblings, Rosie Slipchuck of Edmonton and Bernie Marko (Amada) of Holden.

“What the heck Diane? Always full of surprises. You were an amazing woman and I am proud that we got to share the times that we did. Thank you for being so kind to me and my son. That "train" cake was beautiful and he loved it. I will cherish the horse duvet you made for him, the painted Spider-Man container will be kept forever. You were always a kind soul and I thank you and Tony for helping me build my fence (and paint it!!) when I needed help. We didn't keep in touch enough in the last few years but I will FOREVER remember you. You were special to me and my family. xoxo”
