With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Johnny Cherniwchan of Bellis, Alberta, born in Vilna, Alberta, who passed away on December 11, 2023 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father William Cherniwchan (Bill); his grandparents, John, Raifta Cherniwchan and Elizabeth Bidniak; and his brother-in-law Frank Fields.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his son Kevin Cherniwchan (Tracy); his grandchildren, Courtney (Evan), Derek and Jake; his son Sheldon Cherniwchan (Karen); his grandchildren, Lauren, Maxim and Tanner; his son Shawn Cherniwchan (Donna); his grandchildren, Justin, Nathan and Kyle; his son Dean Cherniwchan (Connie); his grandsons, Reed and Austin; his great grandchild Leanna Gray (Will); his sister Betty Fields; his mother Cecelia Cherniwchan; his family AB; and also, Isabella, Abbygail and Mason.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to "Haying in the 30's" or a charity of one's choice.
