He was predeceased by: his parents, René Hinse and Flora Hinse; his granddaughter Lynelle Hinse; and his siblings, Gilbert (Josceline) and Angèle (Wilfred).
He is survived by: his wife Marie Hinse; his children, Denise Charbonneau (André), Victor Hinse (Diana), Gérard Hinse and Joanne Frappied (Lenn); and his siblings, Henri Hinse (Dorianne), Grace Kipling and Laurette Edgar (Hugh). He is also survived by grandchildren and 9 adored great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, many treasured friends and neighbors.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to the Stollery Children's Hospital or KidsSport Edmonton in keeping with Denis' love of family.
