It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mavis Jean Dawson of Bashaw, Alberta, born in Lamont, Alberta, who passed away on January 11, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Dawson; her parents, Lawrence Hansen and Margaret Hansen; and her siblings, Eileen and Bruce.
She is survived by: her children, Robin Scott (Warren) of Kelowna, Robert "Bob" Dawson (Linda) of Bashaw, Lori Elliott (Don) of Ponoka and J. Lindsay Dawson (Brenna) of Meeting Creek; her grandchildren, Debora Jarvis (Steve), Darren Scott (Cori), Shane Dawson (Nicole), Jackie Perchaluk (Danny), Christopher Riddle, Tiffany Riddle, Laurissa Bolduc (John), Amanda Dawson and Shelby Dawson; her great grandchildren, Matthew, Kaitlin, Haleigh, Samuel, Joshua, Kylar, Vanessa, Joel, Claire, Liam, Amelia and Elizia; and her great great grandchildren, Theo and Dashe Boyd.
Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Cerebral Palsy Association.
