He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul and Elfreide; his son Terry; and his brothers, Gerhard and Heinz.
He is survived by: his children, David and Charlene (Nelson); his grandchildren, David, Andrew, Amanda (Jeff), Michael (Jessika), Tia, Jessie and Chance; his great grandchildren, Slobhan, Jayce, Taylor and Luke; and his siblings, Fritz (Jeanette), Gertie and Rosie.
