John Chiernyk Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Chiernyk (Athabasca, Alberta), who passed away on October 18, 2023 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Chiernyk and Annie Chiernyk; and his brother-in-law Ronald Kwasney (Gordon Yarish). He is survived by: his close friend Helen Serona; his sisters, Barbara Kwasney (Ronald), Frances Trenchie (Hank Mynio) and Emily Spence (Brian); his nieces and nephews, Karen Lauridsen (Jeremy), Roxanne Senyk (Kevin), Loralee Spence-Kuffner, Karla Kwasney (Lyle Paquette), Shannon Brian Spence and Trevor Kwasney; and also Chris. He is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews, extended family and many, many beloved friends.
Donations in John's name can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Rochester Community Hall.
