He was predeceased by: his father Glen; his sister Kimberly Houlden; his brother-in-law Rick Syrnyk; his grandparents, Doug, Olive, Earl and Marian Gray; and his uncle Garth Gray.
He is survived by: his mother Jean Hays; his siblings, Heather Syrnyk and Darren (Stacey); his brother-in-law Doug Houlden; his nieces and nephews, Shannon Quinney (Randy), Sheldon Weinmeier (Melissa), Kayla DeGroot, Tia Rae Houlden, Shayla Hilliard, Bronwyn Hays, Evan Hays, Shalise Jespersen (John) and Jennifer Syrnyk; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kieran Quinney, Hadley Weinmeier, Parker Weinmeier, Rylyn Quinney-Crane, Ryker Quinney-Crane, Hayley Syrnyk and Hayden Connely; his uncles, Doug Hays and Tom Gray (Phyllis); and his aunt Sandra Richardson (Harold).
