It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Stanley Ross Bessey of Acme, Alberta, who passed away on February 4, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Bessey and Frances Bessey; and his siblings, Cliff Bessey, Orville Bessey, Dalton Bessey, Lloyd Bessey, Dorothy Gusella and Laura Snyder.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley MacFarlane (Saskatoon); his children, Heather Bessey of Edmonton, AB and Spencer Bessey (Leanne) of Calgary, AB; and his sister Ruth Wilkins of St. Catharines, ON. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Stanley's wishes, in lieu of flowers, the family would ask if they may consider making a donation, for the purpose of a needed upgrade to the sound system, by way of the Forest Lawn United Church Memorial Fund, 2236 35 Street SE, Calgary, AB T2G 0X1.
