“Beth - such a down-to-earth and generous person! Her time and knowledge were given freely, and I know she also supplied provisions for the Information Hut at Werribee Zoo. Always full of interesting information, and very inclusive. She was very matter-of-fact about her illness, and wasn't phased by any of it. I will miss the stories of tuk-tuk trips to The House of Fashion and other adventures. I'll think of her whenever I'm at the Zoo and when I get my hands on a Kathy Reichs book.”

Helen Rowley wrote a sympathy message

“Beth's passion for her zoo was exemplified by her tireless efforts to ferret out the smallest details from gardeners, keepers, caterers, shop staff, cleaners – anyone who could help her fill out the big picture. The resultant volumes of information she presented were always accurate and up-to-date. I’ve never met a more fastidious person. And what a wicked sense of humour she had, her emails frequently had me laughing out loud with tears running down my cheeks. RIP beautiful lady, sadly missed.”
