Ernest Robert Treagus Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Robert Treagus, born in Richmond Victoria, who passed away peacefully at The Alfred Hospital, Melbourne on 18th January 2020, at the age of 75, in the presence of his loving family.

Ernest was a kind and caring soul, with a cheeky sense of humour, he was a life-long humanity scholar, avid raconteur and a fountain of knowledge. Ernest worked as a certified accountant and later trained to become a legal mediator. When Ernest wasn't working he was very active with marathon running, swimming, skiing and hiking, and most of all spending time in nature. In his retirement, he loved artistic painting and classic film and music, fine food and wine; and cherished spending time with his grandchildren and great-granddaughter.

Beloved husband of Nadia (nee Mikhail); son of the late John Donald and Hilda Thelma, brother of Peter; dear father of Nicole (Abbott), Cassandra, and Kristin, and the late Dianne (Hocking); dear grandfather of Ryan, Katelin, Chloé, Biánca, Alyssa, Jessica and Thomas; great-grandfather to Indiana-Rose.

Ernest will be fondly remembered by his friends, family and all who knew him.

Rest In Peace.
