He is survived by: his parents, Herbert Childs and Francis Childs; his spouse Robin; his children, Jo-Anne Penny, Denis Penny, Nicholas and Leesa; his grandchildren, Thomas, Christopher, Clare, Jack, Jessica and Rebecca; and his stepgrandchildren, Alice and Julia.
