It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Benjamin F. Custis (Virginia, Queensland), who passed away on October 8, 2018, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Lee Custis, Sr. and Sophronia Tyler Custis; his siblings, Walter, Ernest, Clarence, Roosevelt, George, Pernell, Robert, Bertha, Mildred, Maria and Kay; his son Keith Turner; and his brother James A. Custis (Dorothy) of Washington, DC.
He is survived by: his grandsons, Johnny and Tommy; and his children, Sherry Lilliston, Barry Snead of Accomack County, Benjamin, Ike and Christine Custis of Washington, DC. He is also survived by four grandchildren; twenty-five nieces; twenty-three nephews; fifteen great-nieces; twenty-five great-nephews; and a host of cousins and friends.
