He was predeceased by: his parents, Carrie Della Tucker Valentine and John Thomas Valentine, Sr.; his child Maxine Milsted; and his sisters, Garnetta, Vella, Clara, Lois and Iris.
He is survived by: his sister Betty Hill; and his children, Iris Valentine Garner (Mark Garner) of Rexburg, Idaho, John Thomas Valentine, III of Astor, Florida, Harold Wayne Valentine (Helena) of Springhill, Florida, Raymond Keith Valentine (Joycelyn) of Interlachen, Florida, Kevin Legrand Valentine of Madison and Matthew William Valentine (Jamie) of Winterhaven. He is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren and thirty-four great-grandchildren.
