He was predeceased by: his child-in-law Mark; his parents, Les Harmer and Mary Harmer; and his siblings-in-law, John, Brian Helen, Cecil Schmidt and Del.

He is survived by: his spouse Loretta; his children-in-law, Leanne, John, Doreen, Monica, Harry, Leslie and Paul; and his siblings-in-law, Marge, David and Peter.
