He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry B. Matthews and Edna Wynkoop Matthews Oldaker. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Blinn Matthews (Pat); his son Mark M. Matthews; and his friends, Herman, Helen Krukenberg and Christine Hyatt. He is also survived by one nephew; several cousins.
