“We met Steve on the island of Corfu in October 1978. We became travelling mates and enjoyed each other’s company across the Aegean and through part of Italy. Over 40 years and many miles we kept in touch and we’re able to visit Steve in Deni, Wentworth and Malua Bay. We were always welcomed with open arms and continued to enjoy each other’s company for over 40 years. Australia will never be the same. A gentle giant. He will be missed.
