He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Rodriguez and Jessie Garcia; his wife Marina Ponce; his brothers, Robert and Joseph; his son Robert; and his sisters, Lupe and Mary.

He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Barbara (Starkovich); his children, Danny (Linda), David (Pinky) and Maggie Brandt (Jeff); and his sister-in-law Laura Stoll (Harold). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
