He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul A. Custer and Cavita Bell Custer; his sister Kay Freudenthal; his siblings-in-law, Esther and James McWilliam; and his nephew Keith Moller.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Moller Custer; his children, Mark Custer (Sue) of Alliance, Nebraska and Connie Hopkins (Tim) of Houston, Texas; his grandchildren, Casey Hopkins of Dallas, Texas, Matthew (Katie) of Manhattan, Kansas. and Mitchell (Rachel) of Manhattan, Kansas.; his brother Larry Custer (Nancy) of Casper, Wyoming; and his brothers-in-law, Neil Freudenthal of Louisiana, Pete Moller (Lois) of Cody and Fred Moller (Joan) of Cody. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.
