He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Althoff and Mildred Althoff (Shoemaker); his wife Marion; his daughter Tammy Karmann; and his siblings, Roy Althoff, Ken Althoff and Louise Cockburn.
He is survived by: his son Fred Althoff; his daughter-in-law Sharon Althoff of Powell; his daughter Deb Valin; his son-in-law John Van Valin of Powell; his sister Gladys Nolan (Keith) of Worland; and his son-in-law David Karmann of Hernando, Mississippi. He is also survived by six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
