He is survived by: his parents, Karl Backman and Shannon Backman (Fitzgerald); his siblings, Kathleen McCord (Kyle) and Levi Backman; and his grandparents, Gaylene Kennedy (Davis), Dale Kennedy, Blanche Bender (Yock) and Richard Bender. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
