He is survived by: his wife Judith Darlene Hughes Channell; his children, Stephen Wayne Channell of Elkins, Patricia Elaine Coberly (John) of Jimtown and David Plaugher of Elkins; his stepchildren, Stella Wells Johnson (Richard) of Paden City and William Wells Jr. (Anna) of Worthington; and his siblings, Richard Channell (Susie) of Elkins, Marie Hamrick (Arby) of Randolph County, Shirley Linsey (Rob) of Randolph County and Geraldine Harris (Junior) of Elkins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
