She was predeceased by: her parents, John Jack Shorts Jr. and Mary Katherine Groves DeGarmo; her husband Richard Chilcote; and her brother John Paul DeGarmo. She is survived by: her daughter Rachelle Dawn Comer of Wellsburg, WV; her brothers, Bernard Lee Shorts (Darlene), John L. Shorts III of Wellsburg and Jesse Wayne DeGarmo; her grandchildren, John Andrew Pronchik of Wellsburg, WV., Aliveah Comer of Wellsburg, WV. and Chloe Comer of Wellsburg, WV.; and also Kimberly Sue Smith.
