He was predeceased by: his mother Linda D. Gemondo (Johnston); and his nephew Ayden J. Gemondo. He is survived by: his father John Jimmy Gemondo; his sons, Stephen Joseph Gemondo (Jordyn Rowh) and Ryan Matthew Gemondo (Chelsea Rogers); his grandson Lane Allen Gemondo; his siblings, Anna Jordan (Jamie) of Ashley, OH, Jimmy Gemondo (Pam) of Shinnston and Tony Gemondo (Trisha Thompson) of Shinnston; and the mother of his children Becky Feathers. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Joey loved serving in the Marines, so in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to be made to The Semper Fi Fund (semperfifund.org), providing urgently needed resources for ill and injured members of the Armed Forces.
