She was predeceased by: her parents, William H. Rogers and Susie Kellison Rogers; her grandchildren, Lori Jeanine and Brent Alan Carpenter; her husband Claude Carpenter; and her siblings, Gladys Carpenter, Grace Workman, Dorothy Jackson, Helen Sharp, Barbara Rogers and Don Rogers.

She is survived by: her children, Linda Carol Burgess (Lloyd) of Fort Oglethorpe, GA and Sam Carpenter (Jeanine) of Scott Depot; her sister Phyllis Rogers Barnette of Hurricane; her grandchildren, Eric Carpenter, Carol Gaddis and Steve Burgess; and her great grandchildren, Kayden Carpenter, Rachel, Ryan Gaddis, Lauren, Adam Burgess, Will, Evie Foster and Zeke. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
