He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip J. Moore and Dorothy Shonk Moore; and his son Douglas Marshall Moore. He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Moore of Bradenton, FL; his children, Karen Lynn Moore Thomas of Culloden, WV and Mark Allen Moore of Charleston, WV; his daughter-in-law Rosa Smith Moore of St. Albans, WV; and his brother Steven Moore of Bradenton. He is also survived by six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations made to: Virginia Tech, 800 Washington Street, SW, Blacksburg, VA 24061.
