Kenneth Edward Voit Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kenneth Edward Voit of Romney, West Virginia, born in Slanesville, West Virginia, who passed away on January 24, 2021 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Frank Voit and Margaret Pearl Haines Voit; his wife Mable Barnes Voit; his sons, Michael Voit and Christopher Voit; and his siblings, Katie Voit Cowgill, Wilbert Voit and Max Voit.
He is survived by: his son Douglas Voit (Tyra) of Romney; his siblings, Ward Voit (Sue) of Romney, Dennis Voit (Brenda) of Slanesville, Judy Bailey (Tom) of Newark and Dorothy "Dot" Calvert (Bill) of Romney; his grandchildren, Michele Voit, Travis Voit, Will Voit, Blaize Voit, Kendall Voit and Kennedy Voit; his daughters-in-law, Mitzi Voit of Romney and Jamie Haines Voit of Romney; his sister-in-law Nellie Raines of Romney; his pet Charlie; his niece Susan Bailey; and his uncle Kenny. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a world of friends.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Shaffer Funeral Home in Romney (the abbreviated visitation is the family's request to make every effort possible to protect the community from Covid-19 and still have a time when people can visit).
