He was predeceased by: his parents, James M. Sanger and Anna Mae Stewart Sanger Sr.; and his siblings, Charles, Margaret Ann Sanger, Bob Gene Sanger (Betty), Gloria Hale (Bill), Anna Lee Mann (Jim) and Brenda Cason (Sam).
He is survived by: his children, James Martin "Junior" Sanger, Carolyn Carter, John Martin Sanger (Maureen) and Sandra Kay Crandall (Roger); his grandchildren, Donnie, Sonya, Dawn, Claire, Michael, Jonpeter, Antonia and Grace; his great grandchildren, Anna and Elijah; and also, David Lee (Mary), Karen Nix (David) and Kathy Lee.
