He is survived by: his children, Charles "Chuck" Akers (Ronya), Morgan Akers and McKinlea Akers; his grandchildren, Megan Crutchfield (Dustin), Mollee Akers, Addison Akers, Noah Akers and Brianna Cook; and his sister Sandra Compton. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and countless friends.
