He was predeceased by: his parents, John Melvin Armstrong and Goldie Kernes Armstrong. He is survived by: his wife Frances Dotson Armstrong; his daughters, Michelle Armstrong (David Gunter), Tami Simms, Johnetta Workman and Karen Sue; his stepdaughters, Jennifer Schneider and Michelle Lynn; his sons, Richard Simms (Stacie) and John Armstrong (Tina); his stepson Douglas Perino; his siblings, Mazie, Rose, Ruth, June, Rex, Sammy, Stoney and John; his sister-in-law Shelby Armstrong; and his cousin Robert Armstrong. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
