He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmore "Bob" and Edith Blevins Ellison; and his sister Nancy Robinson. He is survived by: his wife Mary Dillon Ellison; his children, Saundra Bostic (Roger Wall) of Dawson, Kimberly Wright (Barry) of Bluefield, Virginia, Michael D. Ellison, II (Anita Marcum) of Etna Ohio and Travis Ellison of New Martinsville; his son-in-law Sam Bostic of Rainelle; his siblings, Bobby Joe Ellison (Sandy) of Rainelle, Donnie Ellison (Michelle) of Quinwood, Todd Ellison of Quinwood and Beth Johnson (Joey) of Asheboro; his grandchildren, Keiara (Josh), Hannah (Kevin), Abigail (Alexis), Michael, Tyler (Ally), Kenleigh, Kelsea, Aidan, Sammy, Andrew, Serenity, Kylie and Madison; and his great grandchildren, Kai and Keegan. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
