He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Bluford and Icy Mable Cadle Shawver; and his siblings, Clell Shawver, Gordon Cadle, Helen Gillespie (John) and Kathryn Gillespie (Cledith).
He is survived by: his wife Thelma Birchfield Shawver; his children, Jimmy Shawver (Michelle) of Grassy Meadows, Pamela Rose of Beckley and Deborah Bennett of Grassy Meadows; his siblings, Charles Shawver (Betty) of Grassy Meadows, William Shawver (Carolyn) of Norwalk, Ohio, Jean Shawver of Alexandria Virginia, Mary Green (Clyde) of Ohio and Rita Fitzwater (Roger) of Collins Ohio; and his grandchildren, Brandon Bennett, Logan Shawver, Jenna Vestal (Garrett), Lauren Phillips, Kelsi Andrews (Shawn), Autumn Stump (Joshua), Chloe Bennett and JoAnna Willis (Jeremy). He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
