It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melanie Kerwood Mabe of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, who passed away on March 16, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Thomas "Tom" Kerwood, Sr. and Lena Myrtle Kerwood of West Hamlin, WV; and her siblings, Deanna Dare Kerwood Hoke of Hamlin, Jan Pierson Kerwood Ferguson of Salisbury, NC and George Thomas "Tommy" Kerwood, Jr. of Point Pleasant.
She is survived by: her husband Richard Avon Mabe; her son Bryan Kerwood Mabe (Kelli) of Charleston, WV.; her pets, Sheba, Chow, Elle (Ellemae) and Muffin; her granddaughters, Lauren Alexandra Mabe of Charleston, WV and Elizabeth Morgan Mabe of San Jose, CA.; and her niece Mauren Hoke Hauldren of Hamlin, WV.
