He was predeceased by: his parents, Den Hughes and Hazel Hughes; and his brother Denver Hughes, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl; his son John Hughes (Jesse) of Sumerco; his grandson Jacob Hughes; his stepgranddaughter Brianna Morris of Sumerco; his brother Jackie Hughes (Rita); his sister-in-law Donna Hughes; and also Collena Morris (Roger) of Sumerco. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
