It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Smitty Alt of Petersburg, West Virginia, born in Cumberland, Maryland, who passed away on December 29, 2020, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell Everett Alt, Sr. and Elizabeth Wilson McDonald Alt (Smith); and his sister Elizabeth Wilson "Betsy" Alt. He is survived by: his brothers, Lowell E. Alt, Jr. (Dottie) of Mesquite, Malcolm M. Alt of San Cristobal and Mexico (Wilson M. Alt). He is also survived by two nieces and two nephews; one great niece and one great nephew.
