He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Clay Bennett and Annie Mae Bennett (Reel); his siblings, Margarite Heavner and Henry C. Bennett; his stepdaughter Tina Moore; his stepgrandson Tyler Moore; and his stepgreat-grandson Max Nettles.
He is survived by: his wife Beulah A. "Bea" Bennett (Simmons); his children, Larry Bennett of Maysville, WV and Kala Border (Cole) of Brandywine, MD; his stepson Bill Moore (Nancy) of Maysville, WV; his granddaughters, Jessica of Maryland, Emily of Maryland and Megan of Maryland; and his siblings, Alice Walters (Ralph) of Petersburg, WV and Chester Bennett (Brenda) of Knoxville, TN. He is also survived by one step granddaughter, seven great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.
